Julie H. Fosbinder is the senior partner of the Law Office of Fosbinder and Van Kampen. Her areas of practice include labor and employment law, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and long term disability benefits. Ms. Fosbinder received her B.A. degree from Lawrence University and her J.D. degree from New York Law School. Prior to opening her own firm she was a senior trial attorney with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Ms. Fosbinder is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the North Carolina State Bar Association (member, Labor and Employment Law Section), The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Since 1990 Ms. Fosbinder has spoken numerous times on behalf of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. She has presented classes and programs on the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Basics of Employment Law, a summary of North Carolina Employment Law, sexual harassment, trial tactics, and other employment related topics.
